    Make Your Voice Heard!

    In 2020 we will be debuting a temporary exhibit about the fight for women's suffrage. As we work on the research and planning phase, we want to get your input. What is important to highlight in the exhibit? What kind of displays would you want to see? Stop by and share your thoughts while enjoying some coffee and refreshments.

    Stop by to learn more about what volunteer opportunities we have, take a tour of the site, and meet current volunteers to discuss their experiences. Veteran volunteers are encouraged to attend, brush up on the tour, and share their knowledge with new and prospective volunteers!

    This 4th annual event raises money for the Friends of the President Polk’s Birthplace (www.jameskpolk.net) a non-profit, 501 (c)(3) that supports the educational mission of the museum. The event is our biggest fundraiser of the year, which is why your support is so important.

    • Local BBQ, cold brews, and sweet treats available for purchase
    • Musical Performances from:
      • David Childers
      • High Ridge Pickers
      • The Myers Park Bluegrass Club
    • Raffle featuring items from local businesses and silent auction of “big-ticket” items
    • Kid-friendly activities like historic games and crafts
    • Tours of the historic log cabins

    Admission: $5

    Raffle tickets available day of event.
