Please join us in welcoming John Holtzapple, Director of the Polk Ancestral Home in Columbia, Tennessee as he visits us to present two unique programs. At 3:00 pm Mr. Holtzapple will present “Tennessee – James K. Polk’s Frontier”. This informative discussion will focus on the new frontier of Tennessee after the Revolution and how it shaped James K. Polk’s beliefs and values.

In addition to the free lecture, you may separately register for our ticketed after-hours reception. Guests will get to mingle and enjoy light refreshments and beverages before Mr. Holtzapple discusses more recent controversies surrounding Polk's legacy, the relocation of his tomb, and more in a casual atmosphere.
