During the half century that the President James K. Polk State Historic Site has been in existence, our national culture has evolved in striking ways and so too has our interpretation of the past. How do our evolving judgements of historical figures like Presidents James K. Polk and Andrew Jackson impact the ways in which we memorialize such figures?

Join the staff of both the Andrew Jackson State Park and the President James K. Polk State Historic Site as they discuss the memorialization of Presidents Polk and Jackson throughout history. Staff speakers will begin presentations at both 10:00 am and 11:00 am.

The Polk Memorial Support Fund, Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. PO Box 475, Pineville, NC 28134
